What is Strategic Intervention?

The term “Strategic Intervention” (SI) was coined by Tony Robbins, one of the highest paid peak performance and life coach, Cloe Madanes, a renowned family therapist and Mark Peysha to describe their change work. Strategic Intervention is an interdisciplinary framework and movement, extracted from the most practical and highly effective forms of strategic action and communication from a variety of disciplines:

Ericksonian therapy, strategic family therapy, Human Needs Psychology, organisational psychology, neurolinguistics, psychology of influence, strategic studies, traditions of diplomacy and negotiation, game theory and others.

Strategic intervention coaching brings together insights from various disciplines to empower clients in making effective changes in their personal and cultural lives.

Tony Robbins, Cloe Madanes, Mark Peysha and Magali Peysha are the founders of Strategic Intervention Life Coaching. They have been powerfully influenced by the great insights and works of Victor Frankl and Milton Erickson‘s creative breakthroughs in human intervention. Strategic intervention exists to facilitate positive personal and cultural transformation using extraordinary skills.

Strategic Intervention is also grounded in the work of the Gregory Bateson group at the Mental Research Institute, which in the late 1950’s originated the new paradigm of interactional and systemic studies, which became a watershed in the development of disciplines such as game theory, cybernetics, neurolinguistics, organisational psychology, management psychology, and dozens of other systemic disciplines.

Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Ghandi are examples of masterful Strategic Interventionists who transcend the particularities of religion, culture, institution. Strategic interventions combine various psychological and behavioral strategies to foster positive personal and cultural change.

The goal of Strategic Intervention is to integrate the core insights of these traditions into a method of practical strategic action, creating a positive and lasting change.

SI encompasses strategies that span from the belief systems and emotional patterns within an individual, to individual relationships, to group dynamics, to organizational and cultural interventions. A trained SI life coach navigates these different arenas with ease.

Created by Dr Richard Bandler and Dr John Grinder, Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is like learning the language of your own mind. It looks into the habits of mind, emotional habits of conditioning.

Neuro = your neurology

Linguistic = the language you use

Programming = how your neural language functions and influence your behaviour.

Neuro-linguistic programming uses perceptual, behavioural and communication techniques to make it easier for you to change your thoughts and behaviour to achieve your desired outcome.

NLP techniques is based on a principle that you already have all the resources and capabilities within you, and you have the ability to choose an emotional or mental state, all you need is to be aware of it so you can pull it out whenever you want.

Developed by Dr. Tad James, Time Line Therapy® (TLT) is a powerful therapeutic process that has evolved from hypnosis and NLP.

Intervention coaching focuses on resolving emotional patterns and relational dilemmas, helping individuals navigate complex personal challenges and find practical solutions.

Time Line Therapy® techniques allow you to work on the unconscious level, because people don’t change consciously.

TLT is one of the most powerful reprogramming process that changes belief systems. It creates real and lasting change by releasing the effects of negative experiences and helps you let go of past influences, therefore enabling you to move forward and achieve your goals for the future.

It works for anyone who struggle with emotional pain such as loss of loved ones, divorce, death, bullying, abuse, or other significant emotional events.

Mind-body medicine and PNI (psychoneuroimmunology) studies explains that the effects of unresolved negative emotions could have detrimental affect on the physical health and can lead to the development of symptoms and illness in the body.

How you perceive stress and respond to it is influenced by your unresolved emotional issues and can often increase the intensity of the stressful experience.

Hypnotherapy

Is a form of therapy used to help with problems such as anxiety, stress, fear, pain, trauma and so on. Hypnotherapy addresses the various challenges faced by human beings, helping them overcome mental and emotional barriers.

It is often misunderstood because of the influence of the TV shows and movies. Some people think that it is a woo-woo mind control technique, that the practitioner will be able to make people do things that they are NOT Willing to do, such as dance like a pig or speak like a chicken. They think that hypnosis is manipulative because it makes us loss our consciousness. That’s what the movies show us.

The actual truth is, we are physically most relaxed and mentally aware when we are at a state of hypnosis and hence, nobody can make us do things that are against our wish.

During the hypnotherapy session, you will be guided through a process to induce a trance-like state that helps you focus your minds, so that you can respond more readily to suggestions, and become deeply relaxed.

From this state of deep calm and relaxation, you would be able to dive deep into your subconscious mind, discover the answers that are buried deep within and resolve the issues that are getting in your way.

Alfred A. Barrios, a researcher, found that hypnotherapy had a massive 93% success rate after only 6 sessions compared to only a 72% success rate with behavioral therapy (after 22 sessions on average), and only 38% success rate with psychotherapy (after an average of 600 sessions)
